October 26&27,2010, Lancaster, PA

Buggies like this were seen about the towns and farm areas.

Arrived at 2:30pm After getting set up and a quick lunch we joined Robert & Eleanor for a drive around Lancaster County. So many farms everywhere large and small and so well kept.

Strasburg Rail Road is just the right place for a train person like my husband. He really enjoyed the time we spend there and would go again when he is in the area.

Another farm not more than 40 acres but many of them.

Several horse and buggies here and there with drivers that were not visible because of the cover on the buggies.

School age children playing at their school recess. The boys wear straw hats and the girls wear the bonnets. Their dresses are long and dark in color. The boys wear the dark pants and blue shirts.

This buggie driver pulled up at the local Quick Mart and we were able to get a good photo.

One of the near by towns that we visited.

The Hayes browsing in the food and craft market. Eleanor, Robert and Van Hayes

The rear of the buggie with the reflector light.

These girls are in a horse drawn wagon and it is raining so their umbrella will have to do. Do you notice the 3rd girl in the center?

We saw lots of clothes hanging on lines and even on porches.

You can ride through this covered bridge 2 times.

In Lancaster County,PA there are several covered bridges. We had a great time discovering these.

Herr's Mill Bridge

This griss mill sits behind the covered bridge. It is amaging that alot of these bridges and buildings have been here since the early 1600 - 1700's
